When guests visit in summer, you want to show them the living city, not just the monuments. Pair the classics — the Citadel, the old downtown, a Rainbow Street evening — with one night that shows Amman at its most alive.

In late August that’s easy: take them to the Amman Coffee Festival (20–23 August, Balsam Grounds).

“The Picnic” is an open-air celebration of Jordan’s booming coffee scene, with roasters, tasting labs, and four nights of live music including Cairokee.
